J.M. Reynolds Attends the Virginia State Bar, Young Lawyer’s Conference Annual Bench Bar Dinner
Every year the Young Lawyer’s Conference (YLC) hosts a dinner to honor newly elevated women and minority judges from across the Commonwealth. There is a pre-dinner cocktail reception giving members a chance to interact with judges and other notables in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.
On January 24, 2015, the Old Dominion Bar Association was in full attendance with almost 2 tables at the sold-out dinner, which was held at the University of Richmond’s Jepson Alumni Center in Richmond. The honorees included18 newly appointed and elevated judges from across the Commonwealth. Four of the honorees were current/former members of the ODBA to include, Judges Bryant Sugg, Joi Jeter Taylor, Onzlee Ware and Roderick Young. The keynote speaker Judge Marla G. Decker of the Court of Appeals of Virginia spoke about her professional development and her career path to include her job as Virginia’s Secretary of Public Safety, Deputy Attorney General for the Public Safety and Enforcement Division of the Office of the Attorney General.
The ODBA congratulates all of the honorees.
A good time was had by all and ODBA members look forward to the next bench bar dinner.
