Attorney Kiah D. Spinks is from the state of New Jersey, but was raised in New Castle, Delaware. Ms. Spinks earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD and her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law (NCCU Law) in Durham, NC. Prior to attending Law School Ms. Spinks worked as a paralegal at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow Garrett & Dunner LLP as well as Seyfarth Shaw LLP, both law firms are located in Washington, D.C. During Law School, Ms. Spinks interned as a summer law clerk for the Honorable Kaye Christian at the D.C. Superior Court and also worked as an intern for the District of Columbia Public Defender’s Office.
While attending Law School, Ms. Spinks participated in the American Bar Associations (ABA) National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C. and served as the President of the NCCU Law’s Christian Legal Society. Ms. Spinks also participated in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic where she was first trained by Carolina Dispute Settlement Services and is now a Certified Mediator for the Commonwealth of Virginia General District Courts.
In fulfilling her passion and dream of practicing law, Ms. Spinks established Spinks Law PLLC. Ms. Spinks is of counsel to J.M. Reynolds Law Offices and truly enjoys working with such a dynamic group of attorneys.
Ms. Spinks is a proud member of the Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association, Prince William County Bar Association, the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association, and the National Association of Professional Women (2012-2013). Ms. Spinks is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated where she participates in numerous community service activities throughout Prince William County.
